Our Team

All members of the NSA West team serve as unpaid volunteers and include active and retired members of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Ruy Diaz

Chapter President

Ruy is a retired First Sergeant (1SG) in the U.S. Army with over 20 years of service, including 14 years in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). Ruy is committed to upholding the Night Stalker legacy, strengthening connections among members, supporting the families, and honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. 

Sam Patrick

Vice-President

Sam spent 12 years in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment as a medic. He came to 4-160 as a E-4 BMQ and progressed through all Special Operations Aviation Medic positions in the BN. 
 
Sam is passionate about all the factors that make the Washington Branch unique and looks to try and continue to foster and grow this legacy through the NSA-W
Michael Cushman

Quartermaster

Mike recently retired from 4-160 SOAR where he spent his entire career as a MH-47G crew chief, flight engineer, maintainer and a plethora of other roles in the BN.

Mike continues to carry the Washington Branch legacy by serving as a board member of the NSA-W and sets the standard for what it measnt to be a Night Stalker.

Stephen Hodges

Secretary

Steve has recently departed 4-160 SOAR where he served as the Property Book Officer for many years. His contribution to the BN and the NSA-W have been greatly appreciated and we are accepting nominations for new secretaries at this time.
